This shot was taken in Reykjavik in Summer 2007, looking across Lake Tjörnin.  I love the sharp contrast (characteristic of the film, Ilford HP5+) between the branches in the foreground and the distant city.

The glistening city far away reminded me of the Emerald City from the Wizard of Oz; and so inspired by this, the photograph takes its name from the classic Elton John song, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
